Rheumatology and
Musculo-skeletal Clinic

Welcome
The Rheumatology and Musculo-Skeletal Clinic has two physicians, Dr Kenneth Orr, and Dr Fraser Burling.  Dr Orr is a Physician and Physical Medicine specialist with over 50 years’ experience.  Dr Burling (Dip MSM, FRACP) is an Internal Medicine Physician and Rheumatologist.  Both doctors are interested in chronic soft tissue injuries, including injuries to the back, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, pelvic girdle, knee, and foot.   Both doctors treat chronic work and sports injuries and occupational overuse problems.  ACC patients, and patients with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia are also welcome.  As an Internal Medicine Physician, Dr Burling also sees patients with general medical problems.

The doctors use a combination of therapies to help most patients.  These include the use of standard pharmaceuticals, nutrition, injection techniques with corticosteroids and prolotherapy (sclerosant therapy), and mobilization techniques.

This web site www.prolotherapy.co.nz  provides information on some of the common diagnoses and treatments available, and links to other sites for some of the common rheumatological problems and treatments.   For further information, or to make an appointment, you may contact us at:
